Position Overview

The Housekeeping Manager at Travelodge Toronto East is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the establishment, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Supervision: Directly manage and guide housekeeping supervisors and teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Procurement: Select and acquire necessary equipment and supplies for housekeeping tasks.
  • Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of assigned areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Contract Management: Oversee and coordinate external contract services as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and departmental policies.
  • Financial Oversight: Maintain accurate financial records related to housekeeping operations.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Supervise and organize maintenance and repair services for the facility.
  • Performance Management: Conduct evaluations and appraisals of staff performance.
  • Laundry Services: Oversee in-house laundry operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Staff Scheduling: Schedule and assign duties to housekeeping personnel effectively.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 month to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
