Job Title: Plumber/Gas Fitter

At Horizon North, we are seeking a skilled Plumber/Gas Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, lay out, and install plumbing components of construction projects, including temporary and permanent buildings, additions, partitions, and wood structures and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate installation and repair of plumbing systems.
  • Maintain and perform preventative maintenance programs for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques to ensure high-quality work.
Requirements:
  • Registered Journeyman or Apprentice status.
  • Valid driver's license and current driver abstract.
  • 5 years of experience in plumbing work, preferably in construction settings.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing techniques and methods, as well as the ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and others through sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs.
