Job Summary:

The Wine Director will be responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing the wine program at Il Caminetto, a premium dining establishment within the Toptable Group. This role will require close collaboration with the Chef culinary team and Bar Manager to create a unique and elevated beverage experience that complements the kitchen's food program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day beverage operations, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
  • Serve as a leader and educator to the front-of-house teams, promoting a culture of excellence and commitment to quality.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, optimize inventory management, and maintain profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers, agents, and industry partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Director to initiate and execute special projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior leadership role within a premium food and beverage operation.
  • Hold a high-level, professionally recognized Sommelier certification from a reputable organization.
  • Related university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong business acumen, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
