About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to join Siemens Energy as a Gas Turbine Assembly Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of aero derivative gas turbine engines and their modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble gas turbine engines and modules for new build sales or for repair and overhaul activities.
  • Assemble compressor, combustion, and turbine modules using detailed build instructions.
  • Assemble modules into a gas turbine engine and apply piping, accessories, and externals.
  • Balance shafts and discs and rotor assemblies.
  • Perform measurement and assembly verification actions.
  • Move modules and assemblies between stations.
  • Disassemble engines and modules for repair and overhaul.
  • Prepare gas turbine engines for shipment to customers.

Requirements

  • A college diploma in aeronautics or a related field.
  • A certificate of study in aeronautics recognized by the Ministry of Education.
  • A diploma of professional studies in aerospace.
  • Relevant aeronautical training and experience acquired in the Canadian armed forces.
