About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled technician to join our team at Siemens Energy Canada Limited. As a Gas Turbine Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of aero derivative gas turbine engines and their modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble gas turbine engines and modules for new build sales or for repair and overhaul activities.
  • Assemble compressor, combustion, and turbine modules using detailed build instructions.
  • Assemble modules into a gas turbine engine and apply piping, accessories, and externals.
  • Balance shaft and discs and rotor assemblies.
  • Measure and assemble verification actions.
  • Move modules and assemblies between stations.
  • Disassemble engine and modules for repair and overhaul.
  • Prepare gas turbine engine for shipment to the customer.

Requirements

  • A college diploma in aeronautics, or a certificate of study in aeronautics recognized by the Ministry of Education, or a diploma of professional studies in aerospace, or relevant aeronautical training and experience acquired in the Canadian armed forces.
