Risk Management Specialist

As a Risk Management Specialist at NFP Corp, you will be responsible for effectively negotiating with insurance carriers to drive financial and non-financial outcomes that support organic revenue development and retention. You will work in partnership with Account Executives and Account Managers to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for remarketing and prospective business. Your goal will be to seize opportunities to creatively upsell and cross-sell, leading to greater client product density and expanded account margin.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and local NFP account management teams.
- Maintain accurate client and policy information in NFP's Epic agency management system.
- Prepare coverage comparisons, diagnostics, consolidated coverage/policy analyses, letters and reports under the direction of the Senior Broker or SVP, Broking.
- Collaborate with account management team and client to ensure complete, timely and highly differentiated submissions are presented to markets.
- Respond to carrier queries, compile carrier quote proposals and critically and comparatively analyze each.
- Present prospects or clients with a clear summary of the marketing process, and a proposal with recommendations.
Requirements
- Provincial P&C License required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key team member and mentor to junior team members.
- Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions.
- Confident, poised and interactive - when client-facing communicates effectively, demonstrates emotional intelligence, and understands how to tailor responses in a variety of dynamic situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
