Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker, Red Fish Salmonberry Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker to join our team at the Red Fish Salmonberry Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive support to clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor clients' progress and provide emotional support and counseling to help them achieve their treatment goals.
- Participate in the admission, case planning, and discharge process for clients, including conducting interviews and gathering relevant information.
- Establish rapport with clients and provide guidance on daily living activities, such as time management and interpersonal communication.
- Assist clients with daily tasks and provide support for skill development and addictions recovery.
- Collaborate with medical professionals and community services to ensure clients receive comprehensive care.
- Diploma from a recognized Social Services Support Worker educational program.
- Two years' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
