Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Specialist to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As an HSEQ Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental performance of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Leadership: Provide leadership on health, safety, and environmental requirements for the project, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, local, company, and client standards.
  • HSE Subject Matter Expert: Serve as an HSE subject matter expert for the project/site operational leadership, providing guidance and support on HSE-related matters.
  • Job Safety Analysis and Risk Management: Conduct job safety analyses and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Training and Development: Develop and conduct HSE training programs to ensure that employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and contributing factors, and developing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and maintain accurate records of HSE performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2+ years of infrastructure or maintenance industry experience, 1+ year of experience in construction or general industry HSE leadership, and a degree in a safety-related area of study or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications and Credentials: Possess or be working toward a professional HSE credential, such as ASP, CSP, CRSP, or OHST.
  • Physical Demands: Have the physical ability to walk at least one mile in rugged, sloped terrain and lift 35 pounds unassisted.
