Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality care to our clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy services that promote the health and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess clients' occupational performance and develop individualized plans to address their needs and goals.
- Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Implement occupational therapy interventions, including group and individual therapy sessions, to promote clients' occupational performance and well-being.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy.
- Two (2) years' recent, related experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues or equivalent.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
