Environmental Services Technician

Job Summary:

The Facility Operator position at Secure Energy is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment, and water injection. This role requires excellent communication skills, a high level of customer service, and the ability to work in a mentally and physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inject water and perform ongoing maintenance of injection and charge pumps
  • Change sour water injection filters as per SOPs, using the flush water system
  • Unload trucks and operate the TOLS system
  • Perform routine maintenance at the facility, including general housekeeping
  • Conduct tank operations, including thief hatch maintenance and blanket gas system
  • Perform fluid transfers from tank to tank using a transfer pump
  • Skim oil, including the transfer of hydrocarbons
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly environmental and safety inspections

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma, or equivalent
  • A valid and acceptable Driver's license
  • Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, WHIMS, and TDG
  • A strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently and under supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills

Work Schedule:

This is a 12-hour shift, 7 days on and 7 days off, rotating between days and nights.
