Valve Technician

King's Energy Services Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Valve Technician to join our team. As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the service and repair of pressure relief device valves, ensuring adherence to quality and safety processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Disassemble valves using various tools and equipment.
- Clean and inspect valves for damage or wear, using solvents and tools as needed.
- Measure and document critical dimensions of internal parts.
- Enter information for valves into a computer tracking system.
- Assemble valves in accordance with OEM specifications, using various tools and equipment.
- Test valves to ensure compliance with code and specifications.
- Paint and tag valves to like-new condition, and seal valves in accordance with code.
- Travel to other branch locations or work on the mobile onsite unit as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all paperwork and tags are correct and verified against computer system information.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Safety Relief Valve servicing.
- Knowledge of repair and testing of Safety Relief Valves.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with clean driver's abstract.
- Any of the following: Forklift, Overhead Crane, First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO current safety certificates.
- Ability to lift lbs.
- Shop and field environments, with potential to travel to other branches or work on the onsite mobile unit.
- Must be available during busy turnaround schedules.
- Hands-on role with standing for long periods and frequent kneeling, lifting, bending daily.
- Exposure to sudden loud noises (pops/bangs), harsh cleaning chemicals (Varsol), etc.
- Steel-toed boots required.
- 8: AM – 5: PM Monday to Friday, overtime and weekends as required.
- Will work into an on-call rotation schedule.
- Annual holiday shop shutdowns.
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug test as this is considered a safety-sensitive position.
- Pre-access drug testing for fieldwork may also be required as requested throughout the duration of employment.
