Salary and Benefits

About the Job

We're seeking a caring and dedicated Caring Support Associate to join our Community Care Unit. In this role, you'll provide high-quality personal care to clients, assisting with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You'll work closely with clients, caregivers, and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and provide medication assistance or reminders as required.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You have a Personal Support Worker Certificate and NACC Certificate (if applicable).
  • You have experience providing personal care to frail seniors and/or disabled adults.
  • You possess good communication skills, verbal, written, listening, and reporting.
  • You're able to work effectively within a team and be flexible in assessing clients' needs.
  • You have knowledge of behavioural management techniques and approaches, as well as gerontology issues, healthcare, and social service systems.
  • You can perform non-controlled acts assigned by the Supervisor, which have been taught by a Regulated Health Professional (or Supervisor), and in accordance with the Unit's policy.
