Job Summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking a skilled Plumbing Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering technical training programs to our team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to ensure our team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and update training content, ensuring it is accurate and relevant to our industry.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and classes to both internal and external team members, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage and retain learners.
  • Track training progress and monitor training metrics to ensure the effectiveness of our training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technological advancements, incorporating new skills and knowledge into our training programs as needed.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, including department heads and project managers, to understand their training needs and develop targeted solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety standards and practices, including oversight, care, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and materials.
  • Travel to Reliance branches throughout Canada to deliver training sessions as required.

Requirements

  • A strong background in the technical field related to training programs, including areas such as software development and information technology.
  • A solid understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training techniques.
  • Experience in designing and delivering technical training programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in analyzing training needs, identifying skill gaps, and developing effective training solutions.
  • Experience in managing multiple training projects simultaneously, including scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking progress.
  • Proficiency in using training development tools, learning management systems, and other software and technologies.
  • Previous experience in instructional design, technical training, or a related role.
  • Trade licenses in Plumbing (306A) and Gas Fitting (Gas Technician 2) are required.
