Job Summary
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a qualified Instructor to teach and mentor students in the Registered Nurse Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Nurses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering online theory instruction and clinical or lab settings, evaluating student progress, and providing feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach, coach, and supervise students in online theory instruction and clinical or lab settings.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist in marking assignments and assessments.
- Participate in program activities, including industry and professional stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eligibility for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
- Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing/teaching experience.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply adult education theory, practices, and principles.
- Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling, and teaching interaction skills.
- Ability to arrange, maintain, and evaluate resources.
- Demonstrated competence and recent experience in using technology, including the internet, email, and MS Office Suite software.
- Ability to function as a team member in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity.
