Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nursing educator to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a Practice Education Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching, coaching, and supervising nursing students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and evaluate nursing students in a variety of settings, providing feedback and guidance to support their learning and development.
- Participate in the development, maintenance, and revision of curriculum to ensure it remains current and relevant.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of nursing students.
- Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of student progress, using a range of assessment tools and strategies to inform teaching and learning.
- Travel may be required to participate in program activities, industry events, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing and eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
- Minimum of two years recent and relevant experience as a registered nurse working in acute care nursing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply adult education principles and practices.
- Ability to facilitate small groups, lead, model, and teach interaction skills, and arrange, maintain, and evaluate resources.
- Demonstrated competence in the use of technology, including the internet, email, and MS Office Suite software.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member in a dynamic environment, valuing diversity and promoting inclusivity.
