Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital/medical facility or clinic setting. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and providing education and support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Conduct disease screening and provide health education programs to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
- Supervise and mentor licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work.
- Current certification in Intravenous (IV) therapy, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure.
