Job Title: Junior Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Management Accountant to join our team at Renewable Energy Systems. As a key member of our Asset Management department, you will play a crucial role in delivering financial support services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and statutory financial statements. You will also assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, as well as provide financial reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare monthly management accounts, including journal postings and financial analysis
  2. Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, working closely with internal asset managers and clients
  3. Manage debtor accounts and ensure timely payment
  4. Prepare periodic financial reporting and variance analysis for internal and external clients
  5. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  6. Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and annual audit
  7. Collaborate with the wider Finance and ERP Development teams to improve accounting and reporting processes
  8. Provide regular financial updates and analysis to operational business stakeholders
Requirements:
  1. Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of management and statutory accounting
  2. Experience in producing detailed management accounts and financial analysis
  3. Excellent Excel skills and ability to advance (e.g., SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT)
  4. Excellent technical accounting skills and attention to detail
  5. Quick learner with the ability to grasp the needs of the department with minimal supervision
  6. Proactive and 'can-do' attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
  7. Good communication skills and ability to communicate with external parties and non-finance stakeholders
  8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
