About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Management Accountant to join our team at Renewable Energy Systems. As a key member of our Asset Management department, you will play a critical role in delivering financial support services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including journal postings, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  2. Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, working closely with internal asset managers and clients to ensure accurate projections.
  3. Manage debtor accounts and ensure timely payment from clients.
  4. Prepare and submit periodic financial reports and variance analysis to budget for internal and external clients.
  5. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  6. Support the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  7. Assist with onboarding new projects into the asset management portfolio, ensuring seamless integration and timely completion.
  8. Collaborate with the wider Finance and ERP Development teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing accounting and reporting efficiency.
  9. Provide regular financial updates and insights to operational business stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making.
  10. Execute additional tasks as required to meet changing business needs and departmental objectives.
Requirements
  1. Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of management and statutory accounting principles.
  2. Proficiency in using ERP systems and Excel, with a willingness to advance skills in data analysis and visualization.
  3. Excellent technical accounting skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  4. Ability to work autonomously, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  6. Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or graduate studying towards a professional accounting qualification, with relevant experience in finance and accountancy.
