Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team at City & County Credit Union. As an Accounting Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records and accounts of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balance, and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST and PST.
Requirements:
- Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including Sage Accounting Software, and Microsoft Office.
- Equipment and Machinery: Proficient in using a scanner.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
