Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our RESL Portfolio Management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving analyses, oversight, and thought leadership for Mortgage and HELOC Portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement sensitivity analyses to assess performance benchmarks against environmental trends, and create scenario frameworks and readiness playbooks.
  2. Measure and monitor policy changes across the credit life cycle, with a focus on credit performance, and provide judicious insights to various teams.
  3. Monitor RESL portfolio indicators, assessing performance alongside macro-economic and external trends.
  4. Provide senior executive assistance on performance trending across portfolios, and prepare communication materials.
  5. Triangulate internal data analyses with macro-economic and consumer trend reports to identify customer vulnerability, and maintain performance benchmarks.
  6. Lead GRM colleagues to improve portfolio monitoring and account management capabilities through integration of new models and frameworks.
  7. Assist in the annual planning process, providing thought leadership on implications to KPIs and risk-related metrics.
  8. Prepare Deep Dive analyses on key segments within the RESL portfolio, provisioning, and peer trends.
Requirements:
  1. Strong analytical skills and ability to create and interpret information/data required to monitor credit portfolio performance.
  2. Proficiency in programming and/or database programs, including MongoDB, SAS, JAVA, SQL, R, Hadoop, and Python.
  3. University degree in a relevant STEM discipline or a master's degree in business, statistics, economics, mathematics, management sciences, or analytics.
  4. 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
  5. Expertise in credit and portfolio management, mortgage underwriting, and credit analytics.
  6. In-depth understanding of RESL products, systems, and channels, as well as the bank's credit risk policy and risk appetite framework.
  7. Strong financial skills, sound judgement, and creativity.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to various levels of management.
  9. Knowledge of credit risk management origination techniques and strategies in Retail credit.
