Yukon University Research Services Office is a dynamic team that supports the growth of research and scholarly activities across its campuses. We are seeking an experienced Research Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the development of a vibrant research culture.
Salary
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $50,000 to $65,000 per year, based on 75 hours bi-weekly, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
Job Description
As a Research Coordinator, you will play a key role in cultivating a culture that celebrates research and scholarly activity at YukonU. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote research and scholarly activity across the university;
- Providing project management services to support the development of grant proposals and post-award management of external research funding;
- Coordinating events, workshops, and seminars to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among researchers;
- Supporting the development of accessible and efficient processes to enhance YukonU's research administration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A graduate degree in a relevant field (Ph.D. preferred);
- At least 5 years of experience in research administration or a related field;
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure;
- A solid working knowledge of the Canadian research ecosystem and considerable experience in science communication and knowledge mobilization;
- Considerable experience developing multi-year budgets, in-kind valuations, and leveraging of funding.
