We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmology Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary

This is a permanent part-time position working 0.50 FTE at Misericordia Health Centre, with a salary range of $40.616 to $49.826 per hour.

The successful candidate will have two years of ophthalmic nursing experience and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Role

In this role, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care in a minor surgery and clinic procedures setting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct care, support, and educational information to patients and their families
  • Participating in the collection of statistical data for program evaluation
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • TWO (2) YEARS OF OPHTHALMIC NURSING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • RECENT ACUTE CARE NURSING EXPERIENCE AN ASSET
  • EXPERIENCE IN AMBULATORY CARE AND MINOR SURGICAL PROCEDURES PREFERRED

You will also need to have a graduate degree from an approved registered nursing education program and be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
