We are seeking an Experienced Associate Vice President (Manager) to join our Deal Advisory team in Region West. The salary for this role is approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, plus benefits. Job Description

As an experienced Associate Vice President, Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for conducting market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and business valuations. You will also draft pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums, and other merger & acquisition deliverables. Your accountabilities will include:

  • Conducting market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and business valuations;
  • Drafting pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums, and other merger & acquisition deliverables;
  • Assuming responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of service on a range of corporate finance and deal advisory projects;
  • Assisting in the identification of potential acquisition targets, purchasers, and/or investors;
  • Assessing the business environment and key drivers specific to the company and its sector;
  • Preparing and reviewing financial models;
  • Managing, mentoring, and training junior corporate finance professionals;
  • Undertaking engagement and practice management responsibilities, including billings and adherence to professional practice requirements;
  • Leading proactive business development and deal initiation activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A CPA, CBV, and/or CFA designation preferred;
  • 4-6 years of relevant post-graduate experience in corporate finance, or a related field transaction advisory, investment banking, commercial/corporate banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate development;
  • A proven track record of project initiation/execution in a fast-paced professional setting;
  • Strong technical finance proficiency, including knowledge of financial statements and general accounting principles;
  • Demonstrated experience or ability in training and developing junior staff members;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
