Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a seasoned Associate Vice President, Corporate Finance to join our esteemed Deal Advisory team in Region West. This exciting opportunity will leverage your expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and financial advisory services to deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum

About the Role

As an experienced Associate Vice President, Corporate Finance, you will report directly to our Vice Presidents and Managing Directors. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting market and industry research to inform strategic decision-making
  • Drafting pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums (CIM), and other critical deal documents
  • Assuming ownership of day-to-day project execution and delivery
  • Identifying and pursuing potential acquisition targets, purchasers, and investors
  • Developing comprehensive financial models to support client recommendations
  • Mentoring and training junior corporate finance professionals

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • 4-6 years of post-graduate experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, commercial/corporate banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate development
  • A proven track record of successful project initiation and execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical finance skills, including knowledge of financial statements and general accounting principles
