Our Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Finance Expert - Mergers and Acquisitions to join our Advisory team in Edmonton & Vancouver office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading advisory assignments concurrently, assuming responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of service on projects.

  • Develop and maintain client relationships, both internal and external, including accountability for the operational aspects of client engagement.
  • Conduct market and industry research, detailed financial analysis and evaluate key drivers of financial performance.
  • Assist in the identification of potential acquisition targets, purchasers and/or investors/lenders.
  • Generate new business opportunities within the M&A and Capital Markets practice and BDO in general, developing long-term relationships and networks.
  • Mentor and develop junior level team members.

Your Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or related major with a CPA, CFA or CBV designation.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in capital markets/corporate finance.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, autonomous, rigorous and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.
  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
  • Motivated to be market facing and driving relationships that lead to future work.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
