We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stable Boss to join our team at G&G Sporthorses Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Stable Boss will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our horse breeding and training facility. This includes managing the care and well-being of our horses, supervising a team of staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our farm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily care and maintenance of our horses, including feeding, grooming, and veterinary care.
  • Supervise a team of staff, including trainers, grooms, and farmhands.
  • Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks and ensure the efficient operation of the farm.
  • Direct farm feed inventory activities and ensure the proper storage and handling of feed and supplies.
  • Direct farm grooming activities and ensure the proper care and maintenance of our horses.
  • Handle and care for animals, including horses, ponies, and other livestock.
  • Monitor animal health and report any issues to the farm manager.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed by all staff.
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
  • Train horses and other animals as needed.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • Perform general farm duties as required.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
