Job Title: Stable Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stable Manager to join our team at G&G Sporthorses Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Stable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our horse breeding and training facility, ensuring the health and well-being of our horses, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient use of time
  • Direct farm feed inventory activities and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Direct farm grooming activities and maintain a clean and organized facility
  • Handle and care for animals, including horses, and monitor their health
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed and maintained
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
  • Train horses and develop their skills
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties and assist with tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a rural area with exposure to outdoor elements
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physically demanding work with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
