Job Summary

Vancouver Community College seeks a highly experienced Strategic Compensation and Benefits Director to join its Human Resources Department. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance on compensation, benefits, and pension programs to support the college's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies aligned with the college's goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on compensation, benefits, and pension matters to senior leaders and management teams.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to compensation, benefits, and pension administration.
  • Collaborate with HRIS team to design and implement HR systems and processes that support compensation and benefits management.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on compensation and benefits trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in compensation, benefits, and pension management in a post-secondary education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in compensation and benefits.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Benefits and Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, the college offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous pension plan.
