We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Engineer to join our team at Waterford Executive. As a key member of our Burlington Operations team, you will be responsible for the safe management, operation, and maintenance of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and operate the plant in a safe condition, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and implement operational plans to accommodate changes to facilities roles and forecasts.
- Identify and address risks, hazards, and contraventions, ensuring the plant operates within established safety standards.
- Monitor and report on plant performance, including production spreadsheets and CMMS dashboard summaries.
- Manage staff, including interviewing, selecting, and hiring, as well as making decisions on salary, staff changes, and disciplinary issues.
- Develop and implement plans to integrate new infrastructure into the existing system.
- Bachelor of Engineering degree.
- 1st class operating engineer ticket and at least 5 years of experience operating in a first-class plant.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend and implement strategies for plant operation and maintenance.
- Experience in managing plant operating and maintenance Key Performance Indicators and completing projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
