Strategic Faculty Support Specialist

Position Overview:
The Faculty Development Officer plays a crucial role within the Faculty Development portfolio. The incumbent will facilitate and oversee a wide range of administrative, human resources, communications, and financial functions and processes within the unit and the Ivey Business School.
This position is responsible for analysis and interpretation of policy and procedures within the Faculty Collective Agreement (FCA). The Faculty Development Officer interacts with internal and external stakeholders, responds to inquiries and addresses concerns, while also working collaboratively with the Associate Director, Faculty Development and Services and Associate Dean, Faculty Development.
- Faculty Administration
- Accountable for the administration, implementation, and interpretation of Faculty Collective Agreement (FCA) processes and procedures for approximately 123 full-time and 40 part-time faculty.
- Calculates Performance Assessment Indicator (PAI) for each faculty member and generates Performance Evaluation (PE) memos.
- Manages the contract renewal process for all Limited Duties faculty.
- Faculty Orientation and Onboarding
- Point person for new faculty members and assists with relocation tasks.
- Salary and Benefits Administration
- Prepares contracts and personnel documentation, verifies employment eligibility, and monitors the flow of information.
- Other Activities
- Manages various tasks, including investigation, research, and analysis of sensitive and confidential matters.
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum University degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or related program. A minimum three years' experience in an administrative position with direct experience with collective agreement administration is also necessary.
