About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IM/IT department, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting information management and technology solutions, projects, and services across our organization and its external clients.

You will collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders throughout the province to support the rationalization of disparate systems and the implementation of our OPOR strategy. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality IT applications aligned with our strategic mission, vision, and goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating requests for change and data retrieval opportunities
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application errors and system issues
  • Developing materials and communicating system changes to end users
  • Building and maintaining system configuration items in line with best practice and stakeholder approvals

About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A degree or diploma in an IT, business analysis, or health-related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a technology, business analysis, or health-related field
  • 2+ years' experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis, or systems support
  • Experience with healthcare information systems and terminology an asset
  • Certification in ITIL, PMP, and/or organizational change management an asset

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$37.61 - $47.01 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
