As a Clinical Specialist at Medtronic, you will play a critical role in supporting the clinical development and education of our defined products and technology. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory and equipment, customer education programs, and implementing policies and procedures. You will also participate in clinical and operational decision-making and train investigators/customers on the proper use of our products and technology.

A Day in the Life

• Conduct on-site education and/or consulting to support the implementation of our products and technology.

• Collaborate with field personnel to provide the best possible outcomes and service for our customers.

• Partner with sales colleagues to develop and execute sales plans for one or more business units.

• Participate in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness and drive sales.

• Work closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management, and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support.

• Identify and facilitate execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.

• Serve as a technical resource to support sales of our medical products or solutions.

• Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).

• Provide leadership and direction in all aspects of clinical education activities, including assessment, curriculum planning, communications, and clinical skills development.

• Develop and execute clinical education programs designed to enhance user competencies.

• Cultivate close relationships with strategic business partners, including training centers and opinion leaders.

• Provide new employee training on products, technology, and materials.

• Assist in developing objectives and programs for marketing and selling our products.

• Provide nursing and/or medical expertise in the development, implementation, and case reports, journal articles, and clinical reports from clinicians.

• Plan, direct, and coordinate educational workshops and other programs, events, and activities.

• Lead efforts to place speakers on podiums at key conferences.

• Work with other departments to establish priorities for company direction, new product development, and customer satisfaction.

• Education reporting requirements (must document all clinical support and education).

• Conduct monthly business reviews with RSM & SPM.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED

• Associate degree, or;

• Bachelor's degree

• A Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD.

• Minimum 6 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with a High School Diploma or GED, or;

• Minimum 4 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with an Associate degree, or;

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with a bachelor's degree, or;

• Minimum 3 years of any prior professional experience, with a bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD.

• Background in Nursing Education would be beneficial

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare-related Sales and/or Marketing experience

• Strong knowledge of the healthcare system (National, Provincial, and/or Regional level)

• Medical device experience

• Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops

• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures

• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities

• Knowledge of adult education and communication principles and practices

• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community

• Desire to help others

• Strong communication skills

• Advanced knowledge and understanding of nursing and/or medical principles, methods, and procedures

• Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education methodologies and assessment instruments

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments

• Working knowledge of conflict resolution and mediation principles and techniques

• Must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions.

Base Salary Range: 77K - 115K
