Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to adult and pediatric patients, utilizing your expertise in triage, assessment, and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans

• Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely referrals and admissions

• Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards and protocols

• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and compassion

Requirements

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card

• Previous Emergency Department experience required

• Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities required

• ACLS certificate required at time of hire and ongoing

• Completion of an on-site sponsored course within one year of hire date

• Successful completion of Canadian Emergency Nursing Certification Exam would be an asset

• Basic ECG interpretation and 12 lead ECG application and interpretation preferred

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Working Conditions

• Monday to Sunday, Days & Nights, Various rotating 12 hours shifts
