Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Emergency Department Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of and providing treatment to adult and pediatric patients requiring care in the Emergency Department.

Our 24-hour staff are comprised of nurses, physicians, physician assistants, and other team members who work together to provide comprehensive care to our patients. We serve patients of all ages and treat patients of every medical and mental health illness.

Key qualifications for this role include current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card, and previous Emergency Department experience. Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of and provide treatment to adult and pediatric patients requiring care in the Emergency Department
  • Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card
  • Previous Emergency Department experience
  • Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities
  • ACLS certificate required at time of hire and ongoing

Working Hours:

Monday to Sunday; Various rotating; Days & Nights; 12 hour shifts; 0730-1930 & 1930-0730 (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)
