Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Clerk to provide administrative support to our Development, Projects and Right-of-Way Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clerical and secretarial support to all staff within the division, including reception, telephone inquiries, typing reports and correspondence, minute taking, and data entry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Development, Projects and Right-of-Way Division, including reception, telephone inquiries, and data entry.
  • Typing reports and correspondence, minute taking, and updating spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain the Development, Projects, and Right-of-Way file system.
  • Responsible for the redirecting and maintenance of all incoming and outgoing mail/courier correspondence.
  • Deliver and pick up various corporate documents/files at other City sites.
  • Monitor and order supplies and maintain office equipment.
  • Perform Absence Coordinator duties and maintain the Development, Projects, and Right-of-Way file system.
  • Perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation's Health and Safety Program.
Requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations in a timely and expedient manner.
  • Current valid and lawful Driver's Licence, if required.
  • Minimum of 50 wpm typing.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction.
