Job Summary

The Royal Mental Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. As an EEG Technologist, you will be responsible for performing in-patient and out-patient neurodiagnostic tests, including EEG, and maintaining accurate records of tests performed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-patient and out-patient neurodiagnostic tests, including EEG, to diagnose and monitor neurological disorders.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests performed, including patient information, test results, and any relevant notes.
  • Assist with statistical data analysis and quality assurance to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize the use of available resources and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies, and procedures of The Royal.
  • Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal's Harassment-Free Workplace policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (CBRET) is required.
  • Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years recent practical experience in EEG is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team.
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills and service excellence attitude is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $35.77 to $48.78 per hour
