About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team at Maison Selby. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our kitchen staff to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and motivate the culinary team to achieve the highest standards of culinary excellence.
  • Culinary Operations: Oversee all food preparation, including menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Financial Management: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Menu Development: Create innovative and delicious menu offerings that meet the needs of our guests.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with the front-of-house team, management, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Education and Certifications: Post-secondary education in Culinary Arts Management or a related field, and relevant certifications such as Red Seal or Certified Chef de Cuisine.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business skills, including financial management, marketing, and human resources.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
