About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Retail Talent and Training to join our team at Sephora Canada. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for building and implementing talent strategies that drive employee performance and engagement in our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and develop a team of managers to embody Sephora's values and support business objectives
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs that build skills, knowledge, and behaviors of store employees and leadership
  • Evaluate the efficiency of learning solutions, measure return on investment, and communicate results to cross-functional teams and leaders
  • Develop and implement talent strategies for retail, creating and reporting on the status of talent and identifying process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives, accuracy, and language considerations are met
  • Partner with Sephora US to understand their strategy, trends, and innovations in education
  • Build and improve learning tools through needs analysis, focusing on design, development, implementation, and evaluation strategy
  • Lead curriculum management of the Rise with Sephora Leadership Development courses
  • Manage annual budget planning with cross-functional teams and be responsible for budget management to achieve department objectives
Requirements
  • 10+ years of instructional design experience with the ability to use and explain instructional design process and adult learning principles
  • 5+ years of project management experience; prioritization and planning skills to achieve goals and business objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities, integrating information from multiple sources
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
