About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Retail Talent and Training to join our team at Sephora Canada. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for building and implementing talent development programs that drive employee performance and engagement in our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and develop a team of managers to embody Sephora's values and support business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deliver learning solutions that build skills, knowledge, and behaviors of store employees and leadership.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of learning solutions, measure return on investment, and communicate results to cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Develop and implement talent strategies for retail, creating and reporting on the status of talent while identifying process improvements and implementing tools to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business objectives, accuracy, and language considerations are met.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of instructional design experience with the ability to use and explain instructional design process and adult learning principles.
  • 5+ years of project management experience; prioritization and planning skills to achieve goals and business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities, with the ability to integrate information and make informed decisions.
