About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Retail Talent and Training. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the skills and knowledge of our store employees and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and develop a team of managers to embody Sephora's values and support business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs that build skills, knowledge, and behaviors of store employees and leadership.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of learning solutions, measure return on investment, and monitor business impact.
  • Develop and implement talent strategies for retail, creating and reporting on the status of talent and identifying process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives, accuracy, and language considerations are met.
  • Partner with Sephora US to understand their strategy, trends, and innovations in education.
  • Build and improve learning tools through needs analysis, focusing on design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Lead curriculum management of the Rise with Sephora Leadership Development courses.
  • Manage annual budget planning with cross-functional teams and be responsible for budget management to achieve department objectives.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of instructional design experience with the ability to use and explain instructional design process and adult learning principles.
  • 5+ years of project management experience; prioritization and planning skills to achieve goals and business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities, integrating information to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
