Job Summary

The Restaurant General Manager will be responsible for executing all restaurant administrative duties, providing leadership to ensure day-to-day operations are sustained at an acceptable level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Recruit, interview, and hire team members
    • Conduct performance appraisals, take discipline action, motivate, and train
    • Have authority to hire and fire (or participate in those decisions)
  • Operations and Administration
    • Create value for shareholders through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
    • Manage a corporate-owned restaurant within company policies and guidelines, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction
    • Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team
  • Financial Management
    • Control profit and loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
  • Customer Satisfaction and Quality
    • Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
    • Ensure a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing programs
  • Team Development and Recognition
    • Recognize and motivate team members
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College or university degree preferred, but experience will be considered
    • Supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment, including profit and loss responsibility
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
    • Good communication skills, strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
    • Exceptional team building capability
    • Basic business math and accounting skills, strong analytical and decision-making skills
    • Basic personal computer literacy
