Hydraulic Technician Maintenance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our team at Coulson Group of Companies. The successful candidate will possess the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete maintenance and modification tasks on aircraft to an aviation standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and modify aircraft hydraulic systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete tasks
  • Experience with forming and fabrication of high-pressure tube assemblies and flaring or swaging high-pressure fittings
  • Install and service high-pressure hydraulic installations
  • Ability to read technical drawings and possess a general understanding of math and geometry
  • Aircraft structures experience and a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship with attention to detail
  • Maintain a tidy work area and keep accurate work records
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to get the job done
  • Open to travel and working in and outside of Canada

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in the industry preferred
  • Approved aviation course preferred
  • AME (S) rated is preferred, with pay scale based on experience
  • Experience preferred but not required; must hold a clean driving abstract
  • Approved training course completed is preferred (ICS also accepted)
  • Ability to interpret manuals, drawings, technical data, and process standards
  • Good hand skills and effective communication (spoken and written) with the ability to take direction
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Commercial experience considered
