About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Interface Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Technical Interface Designer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality user interfaces and visual effects for our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement user interface elements, such as menus, buttons, and HUDs, to enhance the gaming experience.
  • Collaborate with the art and engineering teams to ensure consistency and quality in the visual design and functionality of the game.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our game engines, including Unreal and Unity, to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the product team to identify and prioritize features and functionality that align with the game's vision and goals.
  • Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions and ensure that the user interface meets the needs of our players.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve and refine our user interface design.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in user experience design, visual design, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio that showcases your ability to design and implement user interfaces for games or other interactive applications.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Experience with game engines, such as Unreal or Unity, and a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as C# or JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Perforce.
  • Education in a related field, such as game design, visual arts, or computer science.
