Technical Interface Designer for Immersive Gaming Experiences

About the Role

As a Technical Interface Designer, you'll play a crucial role in crafting captivating and seamless user experiences within our dynamic gaming environments. You'll be responsible for translating brand assets into engaging in-game animations and overlays, ensuring they align with partner standards and best practices.

Your Responsibilities

  • Bring brand identities to life by recreating assets into authentic advertising animations within the game world.
  • Develop accurate broadcast overlays and in-game interfaces that adhere to partner specifications and branding guidelines.
  • Maintain a high standard of code and art development, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Design and implement captivating UI animations and effects using our proprietary game engine.
  • Optimize art assets for performance, ensuring smooth gameplay and visual fidelity.
  • Proactively identify and resolve art and animation-related issues, contributing to a polished gaming experience.
  • Create compelling motion demos for the game's front end, HUD, and integrate them seamlessly into the gameplay.
  • Collaborate effectively with live content and art teams, bridging the gap between creative vision and technical constraints.
  • Support legacy animation workflows by learning and working with Flash-based animations via ActionScript and timeline.

Your Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical skills and a willingness to learn new proprietary production tools and workflows rapidly.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various object-oriented programming languages and scripts (e.g., JavaScript, C++), or the ability to learn them quickly.
  • Have familiarity with scripting languages like Python.
  • Be proficient in Adobe Flash/Animate, Photoshop, and other graphics and animation applications.
  • Have 1+ years of experience creating 3D motion graphics or interfaces using game engines such as Unreal.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • A solid understanding of user experience principles to create intuitive and engaging interfaces.
  • Knowledge of revision version control software. Familiarity with Perforce is a plus.
  • A degree in a relevant visual art or technical field (e.g., BSc Computer Science, Game Programming, Game Art and Design Diploma) is highly desirable.
