About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Installation Specialist to join our team at 10604593 Canada Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Equipment Testing and Troubleshooting: Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain test and service reports, providing detailed information on equipment performance and any issues encountered.
  • Work Planning and Coordination: Determine work assignments and coordinate with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Physical Demands: Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures, and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficiency in coaxial line, fibre optics, and single line equipment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and reliable.
