Maintenance Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Supervise other workers and ensure tasks are completed efficiently
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility and initiative to adapt to changing situations
Work Conditions:
  • Work under pressure and with repetitive tasks
  • Handling heavy loads and physically demanding work
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling
Personal Suitability:
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Excellent judgment and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
