About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerodrome Operations Manager to join our team at Société de développement de la Baie-James. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Improve Operations: Conduct regular evaluations of our airport facilities and operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Customer Focus: Identify and meet the needs of our customers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports and statistics related to airport operations, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise a team of staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Administrative Services: Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of airport supplies and equipment.
  • Training and Development: Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Internet, fleet management, airport security clearance, basic security clearance, criminal record check, driving record check (abstract), valid driver's license, willingness to travel regularly.
