We are currently seeking a nurse to enrich lives every day by ensuring residents receive the highest level of dignity and care.
As a care team member with Touchmark, you will support our nursing team in coordinating all clinical care and ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care. Working in a Health Services community provides you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and team members through daily interactions. This is a part-time position in day shift.
The ideal candidate will be trustworthy and compassionate, and will:
- have a genuine interest in caring for aging residents and working in a geriatric environment
- possess a current LPN license
- enjoy being part of a team, as this person will work closely with a team of nurses to design and implement care plans for each resident
- ability to read and write English in order to follow and give oral and written instructions
Responsibilities:
- help oversee, mentor and coach the care staff and assist them in making educated care decisions
- provide hands-on nursing care for residents residing in Health Services neighborhood
- assess the health status of residents, as needed, and work with the nursing team and health services team to develop and review individualized service plans
- develop trust and strong communication with family members to be able to provide information and insight related to the resident's health and well-being
- must be able to complete required paperwork and filing with a high degree of accuracy
- ability to observe resident's behavior and to communicate observations in a professional and intelligent manner
- physically capable of turning, stooping, bending, stretching, and moving equipment and performing other related tasks
- be able to assess nursing care given by yourself and non-professional staff members. be able to identify problems and or need for improvement
- be able to collect data from resident, family and significant others, health care providers, individuals, and or agencies in the community
- assist with the orientation of new employees
Final candidate must produce a clear police check and be double vaccinated.
