Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo plow unit, performing snow removal on local roads and highways as per contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a combo plow unit to remove snow and ice from roads and highways
- Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
- Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
- Meet call-in requirements during winter storm events
Requirements
- AZ or DZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
- Available to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
- Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties
- Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours as winter events require
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Previous experience in winter-works operations
- Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
- Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
