Your Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager with a specialization in real estate to join our Domestic Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating client business processes and policies, advising on tax policy and changes to meet market needs, and developing proactive tax strategies.
  • Applying specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address tax issues relevant to the client's business.
  • Providing technical and project management leadership to team members for Domestic Tax projects or assignments, ensuring quality control standards are met.
  • Identifying and developing strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities specifically related to real estate transactions, including preparing and reviewing corporate, trust, partnership, and mutual fund trust returns.
  • Building positive working relationships with clients and providing effective support for engagements.
  • Participating in business development initiatives, including identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Engaging in training staff and investing in the professional development of your team.

Your Background

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • A completed CPA designation and the In-Depth Tax Program and/or Master's in Tax.
  • At least 7 years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 3 years.
  • A background in real estate, specifically working with REITs and partnership structures.
  • An extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax planning and compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
